ge with easy to operate, high-speed testing,less expense,fine resolving power,audio-visual drawing of result and suitable to a small site for surveying,etc. This technique has been applied in many fields and achieved good result in application. It was introduced on the developed history and principles and main features and surveying procedures of surface wave exploration in this paper. We give explanation for the using fields and failings of surface wave exploration at present. Finally, an example was given.
